OOTD: Luxurious Black

Shop this look: Zara blazer | Calvin Klein Jeans jeggings (oos; similar here) | Karl Lagerfeld Paris silk scarf | Fall 2017 Chanel bag | Lauren by Ralph Lauren belt | Dynamite lace bodysuit (on sale!) | Melanie Lyne bracelet (oos; similar here)

This outfit is focused on using basic pieces all in black to create a neutral backdrop for luxurious details. It is accessorized with high quality items, such as a Chanel bag, a Karl Lagerfeld silk scarf, and a Lauren by Ralph Lauren leather belt. This is the easiest method for getting a luxurious and elegant style; basic pieces + designer accessories. By creating the base of the outfit with basic pieces, your budget is optimized because they are typically inexpensive and you can purchased only a few items and restyle them in so many ways. Basic clothing items in neutral colours can be mixed and matched to make an infinite number of different outfits, that can be repeated numerous times by changing the accessories for different looks. By using high-end or designer bags, belts, scarves, jewelry, and shoes, your bring quality and luxury to any basic outfit.

Furthermore, just a quick life update. I am in the last week of my university session, and nearing final exams. I am super busy with assignments, evaluations, and studying, so I apologize if the amount of content has been lacking a bit or will temporarily be less frequent. OOTD: Cable Knit + Button Down

Shop this look: Tommy Hilfiger shirt (sold exclusively at Costco; similar here) | Zara button down | Kensie jeans (oos; similar here) | Guess belt (different colour here) | Aldo bag (oos; similar here) | Chanel brooch | pearl earrings

I am loving this look for Fall! It is so preppy and put together, yet can be so casually styled, as seen above with a basic pair of skinny jeans. Conversely, this look could be worn with dress pants or a pencil skirt for a business-style outfit appropriate for the office. I paired this ensemble with pearl accents, as seen by the Chanel brooch, ring, and earrings. Lastly, I decided to wear my burgundy tote, as to give a pop of autumnal colour. In addition, this look is very easy to recreate. Essentially, you could wear any colour cable knit sweater over any colour button down, paired with any bag. The combinations are endless! Let your inner fashionista shine through!

This outfit is very luxurious, using brands like Max Mara and Dior. It is elegant in the way that quality items are being used, and that it is uniform, mainly using black. The sweater, mini skirt, and over the knee boots combination is very on trend this fall and is perfect for the chillier Autumn days!

OOTD: Side Stripe Pants

Shop this look: Calvin Klein Jeans denim jacket (oos; similar here) | Zara leggings | Converse sneakers (oos; similar here) | Calvin Klein Cindy tote

This look is perfect for those busy days that you are on the go. I like the athleisure vibes from combining the leggings with the denim jacket- both athletic and casual looking. Since the look is busy with the light blue denim colour and the red stripe on the pants, I decided to wear a simple black shirt that would just blend in, tucked into the waistband of my leggings to further define my waist line.

This outfit can alternatively be worn with a black leather crossbody bag (as seen HERE). However, since I was headed to school, I wore a large tote bag, so that I could fit all of my school supplies and my Mac.

I am going to finish this post with a question for you: What kind of looks do you want to see next? Let me know in the comments or comment on my latest IG picture 🙂

OOTD: Tan Mini

Shop this look: Le Château sweater (on sale!) | Zara skirt (oos; similar here) | Expression OTK boots (25% off!) | Zara handbag

I am absolutely obsessed with this Fall look! It has been a favourite of mine for years, and this year I finally purchased a tan suede mini skirt and OTK black suede boots. If you look at my Fall Fashion Pinterest board, this type of outfit appears very frequently haha.

This is such a fashionable look, and it is super affordable to recreate. Both the sweater and the boots are on sale right now, and the other two pieces are both under $45 each. An easy trick to buy nice pieces at a great price is buying outside of the season. Usually, Autumn clothing will be sold at a discount during off-seasons (Winter/Spring/Summer). I actually purchased the sweater and skirt this past Summer for an incredible price, since they were from Fall 2017/Winter 2018 collection. This is a good strategy for pieces that are repetitive from year to year. For example, tan suede mini skirts are sold every single year; they are a Fall wardrobe staple. However, if you are interested in buying an item that is very unique and you know will be out of style soon, this money-saving hack might not be the best idea as it will most likely sell-out fast and will not be restocked.

Lastly, let’s talk about the handbag. I am ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH IT. It is super stylish, and I am very satisfied with the quality. Also, it is a Versace look-alike, except instead of retailing for approximately $2000, it’s only $44.50. To add to its already awesome characteristics, it can be worn two ways; as a crossbody bag, or as a fanny pack, which we all know have been really in for the past two years. I honestly cannot express how happy I am to have received this bag (it was a gift from my mom, thanks mom❤️). All I can say is that it is very much on trend this season and it is going fast. So, if you have not gotten it yet, hurry!

As an end to this post, I just want to say thank you for all the love and support. It really means the world to me. Xox

OOTD: Neutral Knit

Shop this look: H&M sweater (oos; very similar here) | Calvin Klein Jeans jeggings (oos; similar here) | Calvin Klein Cindy Tote | Guess belt (different colour here) | Melanie Lyne nail bracelet | XOXO 5th Avenue boots (use code NYCREP for 10% off + free shipping!)

I love this look for Fall, and how I can play with black and beige tones! This oversized knit sweater is perfect for the cooler weather, and is super comfortable! I like to wear it over the shoulder, with rolled-up sleeves and a front tuck just to give it a bit more structure. I explained in an earlier post HERE how to wear oversized clothing so that it looks intentional and not that you are wearing the wrong size of clothing.

Moreover, this was my first time wearing my new booties! They look super cute, especially with the faux fur lining. In all honesty though, they are not the best quality. They are just an inexpensive pair of booties that are fun and look good for now. They are definitely not an investment piece, something I would really spend money on to get quality that will last me a long time.

Happy Monday:)
