Such a stylish and comfortable Spring outfit! I have mentioned this before, but an easy way to transition from Winter to Spring is to reuse your knitwear and to pair it with white denim. This helps to freshen, brighten and lighten your look for the warm-weather days. This outfit is comprised of basic and, individually, plain pieces. Playing around with them and styling them in alternate ways aids to bring your outfit to life, bringing it from drab to fab. Since this sweater is oversized, I like to do a front tuck and roll the sleeves; just by doing that it balances out the loose fit and adds character to the look. By wearing it off one shoulder, I can show off the lace detail of my bodysuit underneath, which adds a sexy and feminine tone to a rather boxy-looking ensemble. I finished the look with some dainty jewelry; these rings are a recent purchase and I am SO HAPPY to have bought them! I have always had very short and fat fingers, and so rings were always too tight. I found these in my size (ring size 9, eek) and I find they just tie my outfits together and really bring that element that was previously missing.

Its rather cold this Spring and so I am back to wearing knitwear. This sweater was actually borrowed from my grandmother; she is very fashionable and is always looking at the latest trends. I guess I can say that fashionistas run in the family haha. I also just bought these white heels on major sale at Saks Fifth Avenue! I have always wanted white pointed-toe heels and have had my eyes on THESE for some time now. When I saw these equally good ones on sale, I could not resist.

In terms of the outfit itself, I wanted to combine feminine aspects with an edgier vibe. The soft lilac colour and dainty jewelry add a very delicate and pretty ambiance to the outfit. However, the boxy cut of the sweater gives it a looser fit and does not define the waist and curves as much. The skinny leather pants help to balance out the looseness by hugging the legs and adding a moto or rocker look.

This outfit is perfect for April weather, using both Winter and Spring pieces. Wearing colourful knitwear is an easy and affordable way to use your winter attire in Spring  and Summer outfits. I actually purchased this sweater in last summer on major sale, following my shopping technique of buying outside of the season. You can read all about that HERE.

On another note, I have decided to change my posting schedule from Monday-Friday to Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. Basically I am just cutting out Wednesdays.

Happy Easter Monday, xox

Cotton Cardigan

A great piece for layering over a blouse or shirt. Having a cotton cardigan with a finer weave creates a sleek and professional look, perfect for the office, but can also be worn in a more casual outfit. Here are some links to shop: Comme des Garçons Play| Vince | Tory Burch

Chunky Knit Cardigan

A really good alternative to a classic cotton cardigan, however with thicker strands for added warmth, texture, and comfort. Predominately worn during the Fall and Winter, it is an easy piece to wear for layering over a camisole or blouse, and under a coat. Here are some links to shop: Wilfred | Design Lab Lord & Taylor | Polo Ralph Lauren

Chunky Knit Sweater

This item is literally all I wear during the Winter. It is comfortable and can is a great layering piece to keep warm. Chunky knitwear is a fun garment, since it comes in so many different colours and weaves. For an elegant and luxurious look, try neutral colours and natural fibres. More on that HERE. Here are some links to shop: Canada Goose | The Group by Babaton | Dior

Cashmere Sweater

Cashmere is a fine, soft wool that originates from the Kashmir goat. It is one of my favourite natural fibre for clothing, read all about why HERE. Cashmere makes for elegant sweaters that are so versatile in use. They can be dressed up, dressed down, and even styled for an office-look. Here are some links to shop: Victoria Beckham | Vince | Polo Ralph Lauren

OOTD: Pink

Loving this all pink & black look! It is feminine, edgy, and perfect for cold weather, all at once! This sweater is actually retailed as an over-the-shoulder sweater (as seen HERE), however I like to also wear it as a cowl-neck sweater. It is a great money-saving trick I use; I basically get two sweaters for the cost of one. Alternatively, this outfit can be recreated in a similar way with other colour combinations, once again using black as a neutral backdrop with coordinated accents of colour in the top and accessories.

This outfit is very luxurious, using brands like Max Mara and Dior. It is elegant in the way that quality items are being used, and that it is uniform, mainly using black. The sweater, mini skirt, and over the knee boots combination is very on trend this fall and is perfect for the chillier Autumn days!

OOTD: Tan Mini

Shop this look: Le Château sweater (on sale!) | Zara skirt (oos; similar here) | Expression OTK boots (25% off!) | Zara handbag

I am absolutely obsessed with this Fall look! It has been a favourite of mine for years, and this year I finally purchased a tan suede mini skirt and OTK black suede boots. If you look at my Fall Fashion Pinterest board, this type of outfit appears very frequently haha.

This is such a fashionable look, and it is super affordable to recreate. Both the sweater and the boots are on sale right now, and the other two pieces are both under $45 each. An easy trick to buy nice pieces at a great price is buying outside of the season. Usually, Autumn clothing will be sold at a discount during off-seasons (Winter/Spring/Summer). I actually purchased the sweater and skirt this past Summer for an incredible price, since they were from Fall 2017/Winter 2018 collection. This is a good strategy for pieces that are repetitive from year to year. For example, tan suede mini skirts are sold every single year; they are a Fall wardrobe staple. However, if you are interested in buying an item that is very unique and you know will be out of style soon, this money-saving hack might not be the best idea as it will most likely sell-out fast and will not be restocked.

Lastly, let’s talk about the handbag. I am ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH IT. It is super stylish, and I am very satisfied with the quality. Also, it is a Versace look-alike, except instead of retailing for approximately $2000, it’s only $44.50. To add to its already awesome characteristics, it can be worn two ways; as a crossbody bag, or as a fanny pack, which we all know have been really in for the past two years. I honestly cannot express how happy I am to have received this bag (it was a gift from my mom, thanks mom❤️). All I can say is that it is very much on trend this season and it is going fast. So, if you have not gotten it yet, hurry!

As an end to this post, I just want to say thank you for all the love and support. It really means the world to me. Xox
