A dressy yet casual way of styling a neutral-coloured pair of paperboy pants. I think this outfit is perfect during Summer for a dinner or a night out with friends. Alternatively, these pants can be styled with more conservative clothing for a business casual office look. I decided to keep the outfit relatively simple with not much accessorizing or variation in colours and to put the emphasis and focus on the shiny and jewelled snake bracelet. I like how it serves the same purpose as a typical gold bracelet, yet is so much more bold and definitely adds personality to the overall look.
Life update: I am keeping busy at work teaching leadership courses and guarding full-time down at the beach. I am very happy to be spending most of my time outdoors and to be getting lots of sun! If you have seen my IG stories lately, you know that the tan line game is real haha. #lifeguardproblems
Other than that, I am looking forward to my last year of my undergraduate degree. As much as I believe that school is important, I cannot wait to graduate this coming Spring! I am also looking at purchasing a new phone and my first car within the year, so be prepared for even more budgeting tips as my budget just got tighter….In all honesty, it is difficult being on a tight budget and paying for school out of pocket as I go through it. It may not seem like it right now, but the benefits for sure outweigh the cons. I will be graduating debt-free, which is such a big accomplishment in itself, but I have also learned so much about managing my money appropriately and I have gained a new found appreciation for the value of money.
This outfit is light and fresh and would be perfect for a walk along the beach during sunset. Moreover, this is a look that is very easy to pack for travel since the hat, bag, shoes and bracelet can all be used in the other outfits for the duration of the trip.

A bright and colourful look to take on the Summer heat! Spice up your wardrobe with a hot pink blouse, or any colour of your choice, and be up to date with 2019’s neon fashion trend. Instead of purchasing something that will be out of style later and that you will not be able to reuse, try finding something that suits your body type, personal style and personality and that you will be able to mix with many items in your current wardrobe.
As much as I like more of a classic wardrobe with neutral tones, I find myself drawn to very saturated colours for the Summer. It makes me think of the Amalfi coast, with its vivid azure ocean and magenta-coloured flowers found throughout the towns.

A simple yet very chic outfit! Using basic pieces as the foundation of the look, and building it up with designer accessories and quality gold jewelry. Because I am using a very neutral colour palette of black and white, I decided to be bolder in my choice of belt. This gold chain and pearl belt from Zara is a total Chanel dupe that came into fashion in 2018.
A business-chic meets casual outfit emphasizing the bright whites of Summer fashion. Subtly ornamented with lace detailing and gold metallics, this look is the definition of effortlessly stylish! To really make this outfit relaxed, wear the blazer draped over the shoulders or with the sleeves rolled up.

A classic black and white look that will never go out of style! Even though it is a monotone outfit, there are numerous feminine touches that create its charm; the lace collar, the detailed buttons, the dainty gold jewelry and the silk scarf on the handle of the bag.
A simple yet elegant look for the office. Add a feminine touch by replacing a classic black pencil skirt with one made up of pink lace. The blouse is enhanced with an effortless tie neck that adds fluidity to the entire outfit.

A classically-styled outfit perfect for Summer! Elegantly fashioned in all white and accessorized with black tones. This look is very Parisian-inspired and is a dressed-down version of what could be worn to the office; the blouse could be worn tucked into a black pencil skirt or the loafers could be worn as an alternative to heels.
I just wanted to say a few words in the memory of Karl Lagerfeld. He has been one of my favourite designers and I have always loved his pieces. He was such a fabulous source of inspiration and has brought so much to the world of fashion. May he rest in peace.
Summer days are upon us and it is time to hit the pool! Make a splash with a bright-coloured swimsuit and accessorize with neutral-toned items that can be restyled all Summer long. Don’t forget to be sun safe and to rock those sunnies!
A lovely Summer look for those warm and sunny days! This type of outfit works for any dress, so have choosing different colours and prints! All the white accessories really help to tie the outfit together and brings attention to the white buttons on the dress.
I am loving how casual, yet chic this outfit is! Using a pair of jeans and white sneakers is definitely the way to go when dressing down a blouse or a more attention-grabbing top. I would totally wear this for travelling or even for a day at school. It is functional and comfortable yet is still super stylish!
I love the mix of high-end and athletic this outfit presents. When I first got this jacket, I never thought to style it in such a casual manner. After I got thinking, I wanted to experiment and see, and I really love the resulting look. It is super stylish but relaxed enough to actually get things done in the day. This could also be a great look for travel. Moreover, I love wearing baseball caps and I really appreciate how I can incorporate them into a chic outfit such as this.

I have basically been living in white and pink combinations recently! Loving this palette for Spring though. I find the easiest way to make a large number of different outfits with a small selection of clothing is building the core of your outfit in neutral colours and adding one item of colour/print to make it unique from all the other outfit combinations. You have probably noticed a lot of white-based outfits recently, yet all the outfits differ from each other and have their own twist. I only have one pair of white denim and only one white camisole, which is more than enough to build that basic outfit from which you can then add something special.
I have always loved leopard print and I finally have a blouse in this print! I was so excited to finally be able to wear it! Styling this blouse with white denim brightens the overall outfit and lightens the look for Spring. Alternatively, I would wear this blouse with white or blue denim shorts in the Summer, and a black skirt or pants for the Fall and Winter.

I have used this tweed blazer for a couple different OOTD posts, and I keep finding new ways to style it. I definitely LOVE this blazer and it fits me like a glove! I was recently gifted a new Karl Lagerfeld Paris blazer and am excited to share it with you all! Outfit for that will be coming soon!
This outfit focuses on the play of cream and black, with white as a neutral base. These colours are of such French influence, as seen with Chanel. By using mainly neutral colours, so many different outfits can be made and each garment can be styled in various manners. As much as I love my pops of colour, I for sure appreciate a more classic and neutral-toned wardrobe. I feel like during the Summer I bring out very bright and saturated colours, which all remind me of the Amalfi coast and of numerous Italian designers (ex: Dolce & Gabbana). However, during the rest of the year, my main colours are neutral, such as black and white, which is more of the French style.
I love to pair colourful pieces with white pants or shorts, as it really helps bring out the pigment and makes the garment look more saturated. Paired with all-white accessories for a bright and fresh Spring outfit.
Bring out your comfortable throwback-to-the-90s Adidas tracksuit and glam it up with designer shoes, bag, and jewelry. This is the easiest way of making your wardrobe seem high-end: use basic pieces that are affordable for the main part of your outfit and accessorize with designer goods.
This was my school look today; very easy to style and follows my outfit formula. Click HERE to read all about it! It is finally starting to feel like Spring and I can finally wear something other than winter boots, so I have brought out my most-worn, and SUPER comfortable, ankle booties. If you have been following me for a while, or have read some of my other OOTD posts, you know very well that I like to match my metallics and leathers. Since my booties are brown leather, I paired them with my brown leather tote and brown leather belt. All the metallics are gold-toned, as seen by my bag, belt buckle, sunglasses, and by the buttons on my blouse. Speaking of which, I have been wearing this blouse for over seven years now, and it is still going strong! It is a classic piece and with how frequently I wear it, has definitely paid off.
On a side note, I am in the homestretch of my third year at university, with finals coming up in the next few weeks. I apologize in advance if the amount of content I publish will diminish, but rest assured, it is only temporary until school is less of a rush. I have 13 assignments due in a 14-day period. Wish me luck.
Combine ultra-feminine hot pink with an edgy leather motorcycle jacket for a super fashionable look that is not too sweet and not too dark! Add in some accessorizing jewelry, and you have a complete outfit!
Transition your Winter attire into Spring wear by using lighter and brighter pieces. The key to this outfit is using basic pieces and making them look luxurious with high-end designer accessories, for example the Gucci belt and Gucci bag. It is an easy way to get the most out of your wardrobe and your budget!
A sweet look to warm up your winter days. It has been cold lately, and I cannot wait for Spring and the warmer weather it brings. This look is really easy to recreate and can be worn with any style and colour of knit sweater combined with black leggings. It is hard to see in the pictures, however these leggings actually have diagonal seams running along the legs. It gives it a moto style, making the outfit edgier and balances out the sweetness of all the pink tones.
Also, I just want to apologize for my lack of content last week. It was my school reading week (basically my spring break) and decided to take time off of blogging to focus on work.
This look makes me think of a ‘Business Barbie’! Own the office with this structured yet feminine dress paired with luxurious gold & nude accessories. Add a pair of large sunnies and be the girl boss that you are!
Valentine’s Day is coming up soon! Be ready in red with this beautiful velvet dress and be dashingly draped in diamonds. Whether its for a romantic night out, or hanging out with the girls for Galentine’s day, this look is sure to break a few hearts!
This week’s look is casually sporty. Perfect for the gym, a day filled with lectures or running lots of errands. The all-black and white colour palette makes your athletic gear look more expensive and stylish! For an added bonus, use code LILYBELF20 for 20% off your next Halifornia purchase!

Loving this all pink & black look! It is feminine, edgy, and perfect for cold weather, all at once! This sweater is actually retailed as an over-the-shoulder sweater (as seen HERE), however I like to also wear it as a cowl-neck sweater. It is a great money-saving trick I use; I basically get two sweaters for the cost of one. Alternatively, this outfit can be recreated in a similar way with other colour combinations, once again using black as a neutral backdrop with coordinated accents of colour in the top and accessories.
This outfit is stylish and practical for the colder January weather. This neutral look is accessorized with tan fur accents, however this can be switched for any other colour or textile. Enjoy the Winter season and stay warm!
This outfit is your typical street-style office wear look. A white blouse slightly tucked into skinny black pants and black stiletto heels, with a top knot to finish the look. A classic blouse paired with the leather pants is one of my favourite looks, and I have been sporting this so much recently, as it blends classic and feminine style with an edgier look. I especially like this silk blouse, as it is made from natural fibers (thus is not static and glides over my skin) and it is not see through. When purchasing this however, the sizing guide is very confusing and inaccurate, as with the size the models are wearing. I found that if you are bigger in the bust and shoulder areas, definitely size up. In my case, I usually purchase size medium for tops, however I ended up sizing up to a large.
For a more festive outfit, I would let my hair down in curls, and swap out the bag and jewelry for a glittery clutch and bold jewelry. Something along the lines of chunky black earrings and a huge fashionable gemstone ring.
This is something I would also wear for school, but would dress it down to make it more casual. I would wear white sneakers instead of heels and a black leather tote rather than the shoulder bag so that I am able to carry my MacBook and all my other school supplies.

Last week I shared an OOTD with the same sparkly gold sweater as a festive look to celebrate NYE! Another way to style it is with leather pants, which meld glam and edge to get a fancy look that is full of character! This outfit focuses on just black and gold, with no other variations in tone. Paired with bold accessories, such as black chandelier earrings, a black leather Versace-inspired bag, and black leather heels, this look is will make you want to get your party on!

Such a festive outfit for New Years celebrations, especially with the sparkly gold sweater! I paired this top with a plain black pencil skirt, which can be found in most wardrobes. This makes it very convenient for an office to night out look; all you have to do is switch out your top! Moreover, animal print has been such a hit this year, so you will definitely look like the fashionista that you are with the leopard print heels. Although this outfit has a lot of character and is a little bit flashier than normal, it is elegant and cohesive. By staying within the same colour palette throughout (black and gold tones), the entire outfit flows very nicely.
This look is perfect for a Christmas celebration with friends and family! It is really festive, with a touch of blue velvet and diamonds that sparkle like winter frosting. “Ladies of New York, frost yourselves!” – who knows where this line comes from? (It is a really funny movie. If you know it, let me know in the comments section below). If you live somewhere with a bit of a chill, throw a black fur coat over your shoulders for added warmth and style.
This type of outfit is so trendy for Fall, and is great to transition into the cooler Winter season! The leather pants give an edgy look to the luxurious classic style of the wool coat, black leather heels, designer bag, and gold jewelry.
I am absolutely obsessed with this Fall look! It has been a favourite of mine for years, and this year I finally purchased a tan suede mini skirt and OTK black suede boots. If you look at my Fall Fashion Pinterest board, this type of outfit appears very frequently haha.
This is such a fashionable look, and it is super affordable to recreate. Both the sweater and the boots are on sale right now, and the other two pieces are both under $45 each. An easy trick to buy nice pieces at a great price is buying outside of the season. Usually, Autumn clothing will be sold at a discount during off-seasons (Winter/Spring/Summer). I actually purchased the sweater and skirt this past Summer for an incredible price, since they were from Fall 2017/Winter 2018 collection. This is a good strategy for pieces that are repetitive from year to year. For example, tan suede mini skirts are sold every single year; they are a Fall wardrobe staple. However, if you are interested in buying an item that is very unique and you know will be out of style soon, this money-saving hack might not be the best idea as it will most likely sell-out fast and will not be restocked.
Lastly, let’s talk about the handbag. I am ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH IT. It is super stylish, and I am very satisfied with the quality. Also, it is a Versace look-alike, except instead of retailing for approximately $2000, it’s only $44.50. To add to its already awesome characteristics, it can be worn two ways; as a crossbody bag, or as a fanny pack, which we all know have been really in for the past two years. I honestly cannot express how happy I am to have received this bag (it was a gift from my mom, thanks mom❤️). All I can say is that it is very much on trend this season and it is going fast. So, if you have not gotten it yet, hurry!
As an end to this post, I just want to say thank you for all the love and support. It really means the world to me. Xox
This look is ideal for a fancy dinner date or a formal function. The little black dress is elegant and feminine with the lace detail and ruffle sleeve. Paired with diamond jewelry and suede pumps, this look portrays timeless beauty.
I am obsessed with this look! If I had an unlimited budget, I would be dressed in this manner EVERY DAY! Using neutral colours really creates an elegant and sleek outfit, and the high quality accessories make it look polished. Although this outfit is very expensive, investing in high quality items, fabrics, and brands ends up costing less in the long run. You will never have to repurchase the item, as they will last you a life time.
I am loving these colour tonalities for Fall! The burgundy poncho is the focal point of the outfit, keeping the other items in neutral shades of black and brown. Also, Fall is the time to bring out your leather riding boots! They are comfortable, warm, durable, and super fashionable! Especially this pair with both brown and black leather, they are very versatile and can be styled endlessly.
This look is perfect for Fall, with the double-breasted blazer and over-the-knee suede boots! It is a good mix of classy and edgy, especially with the moto-style leather leggings. The blush accents adds a hint of femininity to soften the overall look. Of course it can be interchanged with another colour, but as we all know, I am a pink kinda gal!
Hello dears! I feel like I haven’t been blogging as much lately, life has been keeping me very busy. I am glad to be back! I just started school again, going into my third year of my Bachelor of Commerce degree. I am excited for this particular year, since I can now commence my major in marketing. Speaking of school, I wore this outfit for my first day of classes. I had purchased this top earlier this summer, but unfortunately haden’t had the opportunity to wear it before. I am loving the orange colour, it is so saturated and really brings out my tan. About that, I have major tan lines from working two days at the beach. For those who do not know, I am a swimming instructor and lifeguard, hence the awkward tan lines haha. I paired this top with white jeans in order to really make it pop and to bring out as much colour possible. I completed this look with brown accents, as seen with my bag, shoes, and belt (however shoes and bag were not pictured). I went with gold metallics throughout, and as you know, I always coordinate my metallics. I find it brings the whole outfit together and creates a sense of cohesiveness.
This is the perfect outfit to transition from summer to fall! The cami and cardigan layers are the perfect combination to overcome the warm September weather and the cool, air conditioned classrooms. The mom jeans and high end accessories help create a casual look that is still stylish and put together.
I love combining bodycon dresses with matching duster jackets. This is the perfect end-of-Summer outfit, great for transitioning into the cooler temperatures of Fall. Moreover, this light pink tone is one of the main colours in the Fall 2018 colour palette! To complete the look, I paired it with nude accessories to keep the focal point on the dress and duster combination. Wearing nude sandals helps to elongate the leg, since it gives the illusion that the shoes are just a continuation of the body. I finished the outfit with a delicate necklace to create a romantic and feminine vibe.
I love wearing athletic clothes to run errands and for those lazy days around the house. Of course being a pink kind of girl, I added those colourful accents to personalize this outfit. I actually wear a similar outfit very frequently, as seen below. I did use the same hat for both pictures today. Be sure to use my promo code, LILYBELF20 for 20% off your next Halifornia purchase!
I have recently found this bag in another blogger’s outfit posts and absolutely LOVE IT! I was really inspired to incorporate it into an outfit. Also, I have been wearing a lot of sweaters recently due to lots of freezing AC and cooler summer nights. Thus, I combined my ideas and generated the above outfit! I love v-neck sweaters as they can be alternatively worn over one shoulder just to give a little something extra to the outfit. I would style this one tucked into the front of the jeans with the messenger bag worn across the body.
This look is the perfect summer office-to-night out outfit! The paperboy pant style is loose-fitting and cinches at the waist, hence is flattering on all body types! Mix and match with different style blouses, or even a cotton tee for a more casual look.
I love this look for late Spring/ Summer! During the warmer season, I am all for bright colours that pop, especially pinks (my favourite colour if your have not already noticed)! Funny thing about this shirt, my mom purchased it about 20 years ago, and gave it to me about 6 years ago, but yet still looks brand new! I don’t quite understand how it has lasted so long, or better yet kept its colour so well, but I am not complaining lol!
For Spring/Summer, I prefer wearing white jeans as it makes for a brighter outfit and also brings out the saturation and colours of my tops. In this case, the white denim really makes the hot pink the focal point and enhances its original hues. Moreover, I have paired this look with silver accents, to coordinate with the silver and pearl buttons on the top. I am particular that way, I always try to match my metallics, almost like a colour OCD. The silver-toned bracelet is actually a gift my grandmother brought back from Greece, and so I cannot link where to purchase it. However, the silver infinity necklace is a rather new addition to my wardrobe through a collaboration with Civion. Part of this partnership is a discount for my followers, as seen above, so be sure to make use of it in your next purchase!
Canada Day is fast approaching! This holiday commemorates the enactment of the Constitutional Act since 1867. It is celebrated with numerous outdoor activities, such as barbecues, parades, and fireworks. Below I am sharing three outfit ideas for Canada Day. Enjoy!
This outfit is great for a day out in the sun! Whether you are watching a parade of floats go by, and enjoying a cold ice tea at a barbecue, this look and flirty yet comfortable. For additional ease, you can swap out the heels for flat sandals.

Happy Monday! I am starting off the week by sharing this outfit that I wore out to dinner a while back. I am absolutely loving the blush and rose gold tones of the look. Especially paired with the white denim, the colours really are more accentuated! I prefer wearing white denim more so than dark blue or black during the Spring/Summer since it makes the outfit light and airy and also makes a nice contrast to the brighter colours of my blouses and accessories. For this particular look, the focal point was definitely the blush accents, where as the rest of the outfit is monochromatic.
Moreover, I find accessories can really give a completed look to any outfit. It can be as simple as a silk scarf or stylish earrings. I especially love wearing a watch, as to create a sleek and smart look. They are so versatile and the different combinations of wristbands, dials, colours, and materials are endless! Recently, Riverdean reached out to me to partner with them, and I had not heard of them prior, but was excited to try out some of their products. I could not agree more with their philosophy: innovation fuelled with hard work and passion. It quickly fell in love with their watches, and now incorporate them in my daily outfits. With this partnership, I was given a discount code for my followers. Use promo code LILY20 for 20% off your next Riverdean purchase!
This look is the ultimate chic-meets-athletic-meets-comfy. It can be dressed up or down with different accessories and shoes. I styled this outfit with my black leather bag and white sneakers, therefore is stylish yet casual enough for everyday activities. I paired this hot pink track jacket with white denim to really make the pigment pop, rather than with blue or black jeans.
I found this dress while doing some online shopping for new summer dresses and instantly fell in love! The colour is so vibrant and emanates a hot and breezy tropical summer night. Paired with the gold accessories really brings the pink tones to life and creates a goddess-like aura. This is definitely one jaw-dropping dining out outfit!

I have worn various combinations of this outfit and love them all! This blouse is one of my favourites and is definitely a piece I wear often. I like to marry different shoes and bags, which helps create new outfits ideas with a limited wardrobe. However, I still try to coordinate the colour of my bag, belt, and shoes, as to create cohesion throughout the entire look. In this case, my black leather bag is paired with my black belt, which pulls the black from the leopard print shoes. Speaking of, these Sam Edelman heels are the comfiest heels I have ever worn! I could last all day in these babies! The shoe model is called Hazel, and comes in numerous colours and print, some of which are on sale right now!
As for accessories, I coordinate my metallics, as I have previously mentioned in other outfit posts. For this particulate look, my metallic of choice was gold; from the bracelets, to earrings, to belt buckle, to the bag chain. I am that person that likes everything to match in order to create a sense of uniformity. I am especially loving my leaf bracelet, purchased from Civion, a jewelry company based in New York. Their products are really lovely and are so easy to pair with any outfit! Use promo code LILYBELF25 for 25% off your next Civion purchase!
This outfit oozes femininity and elegance! I love the lace overlay on the pencil skirt and the bow and ruffle details on the blouse! This look can be worn to the office, to a cocktail party, or for an fancy night out. The nude colour for accessories helps bring out the navy and white contrast. Furthermore, the use of nude shoes helps to give the illusion on longer legs, thus is overall slimming.

I cannot say how many times I have worn this outfit without fail! It easy to put together, and can be done with almost any wardrobe! When broken down, it is just the combination of basic pieces everyone owns: black long sleeve top, blue jeans, black leather belt, brown booties, brown leather bag. As I have mentioned in an older post, I always try to coordinate my metallic accents, in which this case is gold. The gold matches across the belt buckle, metal details on my bag, trim on my aviators, and jewelry.
On another note, in a collaborating with Civion, a jewelry company based in New York, I have discovered some beautiful accessories that are really in for the season, as seen with the nail bracelet. Their pieces are a great addition to my wardrobe and really help play up and complete any outfit! Use my promo code LILYBELF25 for 25% off your next Civion purchase!
The trim of my mirror can be seen in most of the pictures above. Here is the link to buy my mirror.
Brighten up the yellow tone with some white cut-off denim! Very cute and yet still practical for going about your day. Moreover, the nude heels give you added height and create the illusion of longer legs.
In this look, the silver detailing and white add emphasis to the mint green of the blouse. Using basic wardrobe pieces such as white sneakers and white cutoff makes this outfit easy to recreate and practical for everyday street style.
golThis outfit is very simple; using the dress as the main point of interest, and keeping everything else neutral. A nude shoe helps elongate the leg, especially in this case, in which the dress hits below the knee.
This outfit combines chic with sport. The sweater is super comfortable (great for those lazy days), and looks even better paired with white denim, which makes the navy pop. I styled this look with a brown leather bag and shoes, which gives it a nautical vibe.
I have actually worn this outfit numerous times for midterms and final exams, as it is really easy to assemble, but still looks put together! I wore my favourite booties, as seen below. Alternatively, this outfit would look great with white sneakers too!
Shop this look: Kenneth Cole NY oversized blazer | Kensie jeans (oos; find similar here) | pearl earrings
I have always loved wearing an oversized blazer paired with a t-shirt and skinny jeans! It is such an easy outfit style to create, and a great use of wardrobe basics. I usually wear a lot of blazers during early fall and spring. It keeps me warm during the morning chill, and I can easily remove the blazer as it warms up during the day. With this oversized/boyfriend blazer look, I have found that rolling up the sleeves brings a touch of femininity to the overall look. This helps since the sleeves are usually a little longer, and also helps to avoid looking like you just don’t know your proper size in clothing, and we all know how wrong-sized clothing just does not look right, whether it is too small or too large.
I styled this look with black ankle booties and a black leather tote. However, it can easily be styled with white sneakers for a more laid back and comfortable look.
This blazer was actually purchased at Costco (bless Costco!) for a fraction of the original in-store cost, a couple years back. I try not to purchase anything at full-price since I am a student on a budget and school tuition is not cheap (a sad truth), so when I find good quality items at low prices, I jump at the opportunity.
This outfit is inspired by the pink blooms of spring. I love how the blush blouse coordinates so well with the nude accessories! Moreover, this bag is currently on my wishlist, it is just a matter of time now!
